2026-27 General Practice Staff Survey (GPSS) opens on Monday 5 October for eight weeks until Friday 27 November.
Thank you to all NCL practices and primary care networks (PCN) for supporting the staff list submission process for the GPSS 2026.
Eligible staff from participating organisations will receive a unique survey invitation directly from Picker when the survey opens. Reminder communications will also be sent during the survey period.
Why encourage participation?
- The survey is confidential and completed independently.
- Staff feedback helps shape improvements to the working experience in general practice.
- The results provide valuable insights that can support workforce wellbeing, staff engagement and organisational development.
- Organisations require 10 or more responses to receive their own anonymous organisation-level survey report.
Support the survey
When invitations are received, staff are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the survey and have their voice heard.
As minimum of 10 survey responses is required before an organisation-level report can be produced. Encouraging participation will help ensure your practice or PCN receives its own local results and can benefit from the insights provided.
Participating organisations may allocate up to 15 minutes of Protected Learning Time (PLT) to enable staff to complete the survey.
If you have any queries, contact the Primary Care Planning & Operations team, marked for the attention of Sarah Pallis, Primary Care Planning and Operations Senior Manager.
