Health Services Laboratories (HSL) will update the CareFlow ordering catalogue and transition to the new Helix system for microbiology testing from 16 September 2026 at North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH).
 
While the process for ordering tests will remain unchanged, several microbiology requests are being updated to improve specimen identification, support more appropriate testing pathways, and align with national standards.
