The Camden Health Partners (CHP) Federation seeks expressions of interest for community gynaecology roles in Camden.

Camden is the only north central London borough without a community gynaecology service or integrated women’s health hub. UCLH and CHP are launching a backlog initiative for Camden women who have been waiting more than 18 weeks for gyane care. Initially focused on patients already on the UCLH waiting list, with plans to expand and accept new community referrals. Expressions of interest are invited for the following roles:

Clinical Lead

An experienced GP with an Extended Role (GPwER) in gynaecology with previous clinical leadership exprience is essential but not necessarily in women’s health. The clinical lead will provide leadership, support pathway development, establish service standards and ensure quality key performance indicators, supported by UCLH and CHP. The role offers £15,500 pa for the clinical lead session and £12,500 pa for GPwER sessions (based on 46 weeks per annum). 

GP with an Extended Role (GPwER) 

An experienced GPwERs in gynaecology, ideally as a women’s health lead or in community gynaecology. Experience in non contraceptive intrauterine system coil fitting and menopause management is particularly welcomed. Responsibilities include triage, assessment and management of gynaecological conditions including abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, menopause, alongside providing advice and support to GPs. 

The role offers up to two sessions a week, one as Clinical Lead and one as a GPwER. Clinics will start at Caversham Group Practice, with potential expansion.
