Report launch: The case for the living wage in primary care

WNL WIDE

NHS England is inviting primary care colleagues to an online event to launch The Case for the Real Living Wage in Primary Care, a report exploring the benefits and practical considerations of becoming a real living wage employer.

The report shares experiences from primary care employers and considers how paying the real living wage can support staff, strengthen recruitment and retention, and contribute to a more sustainable workforce.

The interactive session will cover:

  • experiences from primary care providers implementing the real living wage
  • findings from the report and its author, Dr Andrea Werner of Middlesex University
  • support available to organisations considering living wage accreditation
  • an opportunity to ask questions and join the discussion.

Representatives from the Living Wage Foundation and NHS England will also take part.

The event is open to colleagues across general practice, dentistry, optometry and pharmacy, including partners, managers, clinical teams, receptionists, administrative staff and anyone interested in fair pay and its impact across primary care.

Questions can be submitted in advance or during the webinar. The report will be published on the day, with links shared with registered participants.
