The MoreLife weight management service stopped accepting new referrals on 14 September 2026 ahead of the service closing on Thursday 31 December. Patients who have already been referred can continue to access the service until the end of the year. Patients who have finished the programme will also be able to access the follow-on digital support for a further 12 months.

GPs and practice teams are encouraged to review alternative weight management services listed in the Islington weight management directory. Additional options are being explored in both boroughs, and further updates will be given in due course.

Eligible patients who can access digital support can be referred to the NHS Digital Weight Management Programme, which provides structured, remote weight management support in a similar to the MoreLife programme. Evidence has shown that the programme can help people achieve clinically significant weight loss similar to results seen in face-to-face services.
