A team of local consultant gynaecologists is working with GPs with a special interest in gynaecology to provide this service, including management of the Barnet Gynaecology Single Point of Access.

All referrals are triaged and patients are contacted to book their appointment as appropriate. 

The service manages the following conditions:

• abnormal bleeding/menstrual disorders: heavy menstrual bleeding, irregular bleeding, post-coital bleeding, amenorrhoea, postmenopausal bleeding
• difficult coil fits/removals
• female sterilisation
• fibroids
• infertility/recurrent miscarriage
• menopause
• pelvic pain
• polycystic ovary syndrome
• premature ovarian failure
• urogynaecology/prolapse
• vaginal discharge
• vulval conditions

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

• Aged 16+ 
• Registered with Barnet GP 

Exclusions

• Urgent suspected cancer referrals (see the Urgent Suspected Cancer: Gynaecology page)
