Neurovascular Service: Charing Cross Hospital
BrentEalingHammersmith & FulhamHarrowHillingdonHounslowKensington & ChelseaWestminsterThe neurovascular service provides specialist neurosurgical assessment and treatment for patients with neurovascular conditions.
Eligibility Criteria
Inclusions
Intracranial aneurysms
Cranial malformations including; Dural Arterio Venous (AV) fistulas, and Arterio-Venous Malformations (AVM)
Cavernomas
Screening of familial aneurysms
Exclusions
Please note acute presentations should be directed to their local emergency department.
Patients with suspected brain/CNS cancer should be referred according to the cancer network guidelines via the 2WW pathway.
Patients with confirmed primary brain/CNS cancer (eg. glioma, astrocytoma, oligodendroglioma, ependymoma) or metastases should be referred to Neuro-Oncology via E-RS.
Patients with skull base or pituitary tumours should be referred to the skull base or pituitary service via E-RS.
Patients with spinal pathology should be referred to the Adult Spinal Neurosurgery service via E-RS.
Patients under the age of 16 years.
