Medical and psychological treatment for female genital cutting/mutilation (FGC/M) in children and young people, with assessments for other children in affected families and referrals to counselling and surgery if needed.

Practitioners have close links with Police, social care and local community groups and can refer to counselling and surgery if required.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusions

  • girls aged 0-18 years who:
    • have suffered female genital mutilation (FGC/M)
    • may be at risk of FGC/M
    • for whom there is a suspicion or disclosure that they have undergone FGC/M
