It Still Counts: Tobacco-related cancers campaign

The 'It Still Counts' campaign from RM Partners Cancer Alliance is running throughout November to raise awareness of the risks associated with all forms of tobacco, including cigarettes, cigars, shisha and chewing tobacco, paan and other non-cigarette tobacco products.

The campaign aims to highlight the health impact of tobacco use and signpost people to local support services and GP advice for signs and symptoms that could indicate cancer.

Campaign advertising, including videos featuring local people, will appear across north and south west London on billboards, at bus stops and tube stations, including Edgware Road and Wembley Central. Local pharmacies, dentists, GPs and community groups will also promote the campaign and provide information and support. Content will be shared on social media and through Cancer Research UK, a campaign partner.

Primary care teams can visit the My Health and Cancer webpage for information, campaign visuals and downloadable resources, or use the general practice toolkit.

An upcoming online webinar on Wednesday 11 November will provide further information about the campaign and support primary care teams to discuss different tobacco products, their harms and available support with patients.

Share the campaign with your networks.
